Welsh Cancer Patient Experience Survey
Following the success of the 2010 Survey and the 2011-2012 Survey in England, the Welsh Government, with Macmillan Cancer Support, has carried out a similar survey in Wales in 2013, with suitable amendments reflecting the position of NHS Wales. This will enable the service to identify and build on progress that has already been made and target our efforts to continue to improve patients’ experience of NHS cancer care.
The 2013 Welsh Cancer Patient Experience Survey covered approximately 11,000 adult cancer patients in Wales (aged 16 and over) with a primary diagnosis of cancer who have been admitted to hospital as inpatients, or who were a day case patient, and have been discharged between 1st June 2012 and 31st March 2013.
The survey has now taken place and the results will be published in December 2013. They will be available on this website as soon as they are available.
